Our feed has been specially formulated by an animal nutritionist, and is guaranteed by a locally owned mill to be made with only the finest natural non-GMO ingredients that have not been tainted with pesticides, hormones, or chemicals of any kind.
However, it isn't specifically labeled "certified organic" because we do not insist on government documentation that, we have learned, significantly increases production costs to small farm owners who choose to grow their crops organically, making healthful food choices a luxury only the wealthiest consumers can afford.
Our feed contains:
Wheat, oats, barley, field peas, fishmeal, alfalfa, flax seed, kelp, live yeast culture (brewers’ yeast), natural amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
